Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS)

In 2013-2014 Wisconsin used the Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS), which includes the WKCE and WAA, to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in math and reading, and in grades 4, 8 and 10 in language arts, science and social studies. The WSAS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Wisconsin. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. In private schools, only voucher program participants are tested. GreatSchools' ratings currently reflect 2012-13 testing data. Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the WSAS test. As a result of these changes, proficiency scores for Wisconsin schools are lower than they were in previous years.

Overall I give this school one star for the outstanding teachers unfortunately outstanding teachers can not make up for a school board that manipulates the system to benefit themselves and their own children and an administration and school leaders that go along with the school board possibly to keep their own job. The whole district is corrupt parents lie about each other and the school administration gives in to parents demands and threats. It is very apparent that the bullying amongst the students is direct reflection of the parental bullying in this community. Do not send your children to these schools.

I am a seventh grader here at Williams Bay. Instead of us having a Junior high building the high school building is combine with the Junior high building. I love this school because even though it is small it is great! The teachers are smart and will give you help when ever it is needed. There has never been problems with drugs or alcohol. And our school always has high test scores. Williams Bay is awesome!

I love this school and I wouldn't transfer for the world! The staff teachers and students are so hospitable and friendly and there is no I repeat no drugs smoking or other types of abuse going on in this school. Everyone knows everyone and there are plenty of friends to go around. Send your kids here!
