End of Class Tests (EOC)

In 2013-2014 North Carolina used End-of-Course (EOC) tests to assess high school students in Mathematics, English II, and Biology. The EOC tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of North Carolina. Hunt High School is second to none. The administration staff students and parents work harmoniously to insure that every student receives an opportunity to succeed and work at their full potential. Like every other school there are obstacles but we are overcomers. As a former student (Class of 1980) I seen the success of my former classmates my sons and their contemporaries. I'm proud to be a WARRIOR!

Hunt High School is an exceptional school. With great leadership and support (from faculty staff and parents) it has provided opportunities for the students to excel to their fullest potential. Not only has the school showed the students how to succeed on their own but how to help others when life throws them curves.

Principal Simmons has returned Hunt HS to the school of choice. The faculty and students are functioning on a high level of enthuisiasm. It is amazing what happens when the leader of anything listens to the people that work for them. Fair treatment goes along way not to mention his passion to see the students succeed

Since these last reviews were sent in things have drastically changed. We have a new principal now and the staff parent and students absolutely love him. He is respectful and always there to lend a listening ear to anyone who has a problem. He treats everyone as they would want to be treated and people respect him back and love him as a person and an administrator. He is correcting the issues that came about while the last principal was there and things are getting back to the way we as teachers and the students come to know and love in the past.

School has excellent faculty and staff as well as a wonderfully well managed facility. Students please remember that your personal relationship doesnt warrently a bad review because things dont go the way you expect them to but give honor where honor is due and take pride in your school and help make it a better place for you to learn.....Educator

Its a good school. The students and teachers get along well. the only thing wrong with this school is the principle. He doesnt know how to give respect but wants respect.

The school itself is a good school it's the principal that is awful. He is never at school he never listens to any teachers or students on anything he has taken away all of our priveleges and is downright mean. He does not communicate with anyone and is making our school a bad place. He needs to go!Period!
