A small school in a small town. Teachers are underpaid and thus you are not able to get the best. Admin is mediocre at best. Most of the staff are alumni or relatives that could not find a jobelsewhere.. Kids are well behaved. It is difficuilt to break into the parents groups as most are related to each other and do not like outsiders.

Contrary to what a few others have posted on this site Assumption High School provides a top-notch education with a demanding curriculum. A review of Assumption ACT scores compared to ACT scores from ANY local public high school shows that AHS stands above the others. As a parent of both college and high school students I can tell you that our college student was MORE than prepared for college after attending AHS. He has been on the Dean's List since his freshman year is taking a very aggressive course load and maintains a 3.75 GPA. Parents if you're looking for a program that challenges your children holds them accountable and teaches them to hold each other accountable establishes a firm academic foundation that greatly enhances their probability for success in college and provides them with the moral guidance of a Christian environment then Assumption High School and the entire Assumption Catholic Schools organization is the place to be!

Private K-6 AWESOME! However once they reach the High School level save your children and your money! My son loved school has a wonderful attitude until he started Assumption. I kept him in since the Principal for the High School was different then the Middle School. Unfortunately I did that at the expense of my son and his education. My son agreed to stay since the principal would change. High school came and the Principal changed to the same one he had in the Middle School. So once again we are looking to change his school in the middle of the school year! This left my child very behind and faithless. THANK GOD for Father John who will be talking to my son and having him help at the church near our home. I believe this will renew his faith. Assumption is not a loving family!

Parents if your children's education is important to you do not send them to Assumption. After 1 year at AHS we had enough and enrolled in the public school system...what a difference!

When we relocated to the area we enrolled our son at Assumption assuming as a private school it would offer an exceptional well rounded education. We were so disappointed in everything from the lack of current textbooks equipment and facilities to the uninspired classes and teachers. Our son in now attending the public high school and we are very pleased with all that is offered and really feel as though he will be well prepared for college and have better options in his selection. I really feel that graduating from Assumption would have not only left him unprepared acedemically but would have narrowed the pool of college offers considerably.

The Wisconsin Rapids Area Catholic Schools have given many students a competitive edge in college and in life. My son has been given focused attention on Math Science the Arts and many other subjects. Teachers and staff are dedicated to providing a supportive and valued learning experience and most often at a lower pay scale...they MUST love and believe in what they do because of that! Our testing results continually rank high above average in all skill levels. We are a Catholic school...there are no 'admission criteria' because we don't turn a child away from an education opportunity based on some type of admission criteria. Bottom line ~ WRACS is a wonderful school system that helps children learn thrive and grow. What a tremendous blessing!

Very disappointing. Moved to area and enrolled children only to pull them out after 1 year. Does not foster excellence in any area. Does not meet typical standards one would expect to find in a private school. No admissions criteria other than paying a modest tuition.not the best and brightest.

This school is a wonderful college prep school. Most all of it's graduates feel well prepared for college. Assumption posts higher standardized test results than many schools in the state not to mention all schools in the area. Assumption is a great school. It may have some outdated equipment but students/teachers make do with what they have and students receive a good education. As for sports Assumption has had many athletic teams excel to sectional and state titles.

Assumption has excellent Math and English programs. It also has wonderful extra curricular programs including music and Academic Decathlon. Math league and Academic Decathlon consistently beat out much larger schools in competition. The athletic programs are competitive but small enough where most get to play. The classes are intimate and the teachers attend to the needs of the students mentally spiritually socially and physically. It is a wonderful college preparatory school.
