Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS)

In 2011-2012 Wisconsin used the Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS), which includes the WKCE and WAA, to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in math and reading, and in grades 4, 8 and 10 in language arts, science and social studies. The WSAS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Wisconsin. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

I am a student at East Junior High. I have been here for 2 years now. I believe that this school is challenging and makes you work hard but that is what a good school needs. I love this school and I greatly appreciate the staff and their hard work to let me learn and teach me new things each day. The academic programs are challenging which is good for the learning environment. The availability of extracurricular activities ranges in many different sports. The activities are fun and you can meet new kids while you play. The coaches really work hard for you and help you along the way! The level of parent involvement is good but their could be more. Otherwise East Junior High is a great school!
