Are you looking to free yourself from the Matrix and live a more agrarian life? This 15-acre farm in the interior of Puerto Rico (elevation 1500) is for a very specific individual, couple or family who have decided to get out of the Matrix and live a more sustainable existence. What makes this farm unique, even among the many farms for sale in Puerto Rico is that it’s organic. Most farms on the island have been sprayed with Roundup and pesticides and have tons of chemical fertilizer in the ground. Not this farm. We use a combination of compost and goat manure to work in harmony with Mother Earth. It has fruit trees and palms from South America, West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and Australia. The sustainable bamboo is from South America and Southeast Asia. It’s way off the beaten path. This farm is for someone/folks who like(s) seclusion, quiet and privacy. Once inside the gate, the house is 400 feet away, opening up into a truly sustainable farm where we’ve been raising livestock for the last 15 years. It’s already set up to house livestock humanely. There are also hurricane shelters under the house large enough for goats or smaller animals. Some specs you’ll want to know: • The farm is 15 acres, although we only farm on 7.5. We’ve let the rest return to Mother Earth. • It’s in the mountains, so expect vertical farming. If you’re looking to get into shape or you are already in excellent shape, this is the farm for you. But don’t let this scare you. We came here having worked behind desks the previous 20 years. • The house upstairs has 1 bedroom, which may seem small but it’s anything but. It’s an open-floor plan. • No walls to stop the airflow or the energy from flowing freely in the living room, kitchen and dining room. • The bedroom is quite large, separated by a half wall to allow for a separate office without encroaching on the bedroom. • The bathroom is very large. The shower was constructed in such a way that no door or shower curtain is needed. The entire house is wheelchair accessible. Downstairs has a separate dwelling containing an unfinished apartment of two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom and living room. And while it’s not finished, it’s already plumbed for hot water, which is not common in Puerto Rico. It also has tile in there. The title is clean. We are the only owners; there are no heirs.
