LOCATION! This property is near the confluence of the East and Taylor Rivers which are the headwaters of the Gunnison River. The property does not have river access or river frontage, but you can literally walk to some of the best fishing in Gunnison Valley. A drive up Taylor Canyon will find you more spectacular fishing on the Taylor River, eventually ending in Taylor Park where Taylor Reservoir is located at almost 10000 ft. Almont is ten miles north of Gunnison and eighteen miles south of Crested Butte (CB). And Mt. Crested Butte is just up the road from CB. RTA bus service stops about 400 feet from the property. RTA service is free and runs year-round. Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep, Deer and Elk are sometimes right outside. The location gives you access to four season activities such as camping, cycling, hiking, rafting and boating, alpine and cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling, horseback riding, dog sledding, wild-life viewing, hunting and fishing.
