Interior walls are finished with an earthen plaster product from NM based American Clay which gives the house a certain warm, organic feel. All interior wood doors were custom made on site. There is a propane fueled gas fireplace that is see through and can be enjoyed from the den or living room sides of the wall. This is the only nonelectric appliance, depending upon usage, it uses 1 or 2 four gallon tanks of propane per year. While primarily for aesthetic enjoyment it can serve as a heating source during an extended power outage. The open plan KITCHEN features a built-in Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer, induction cooktop, wall oven, dishwasher and oversized stainless steel sink, The large island invites guests to join in with meal preparation and has storage on both sides.
