What the owner loves about this home
We have LOVED being here for 8 years; pulling our grandkids and others around the lake on inflatables, watching them fish or jump off the dock, help them cook smore's, listening to the loons, watching fireworks, skating, skiing, ATV’ing, snowmobiling, etc.... Its just time for us to have new experiences, to move along to see other things in other places. We like to think that our home has the character, warmth and inviting feeling of a true Maine lake-front home. In the winter when lake freezes, the skates and other winter toys come out. There is a spotlight on the house that lights up the lake in the evening, where our ATV had plowed an area out for the kids to skate. It’s an easy trip to/from the ice to skate, when the ice fishing traps are out, if you want to do some skiing on the lake or when you want to go for a snowmobile ride. In the summer months, whether it’s watching the sun go down from the kitchen or master bedroom that look out over the lake, or you’re sitting on one of the decks and watching kids get towed around behind a boat, there is not a shortage of opportunities to sit and relax here at the lake. Our most memorable times are from seeing many towels drying on the railings, a grill full of dogs and burgers, kids running around the yard with the dogs and little voices filling the air with laughter. When the sun goes down and the fire pit comes to life, the stories of ‘the one that got away’ or ‘I can’t believe you did that…” are easily shared. When the idea of a BallPark frank or marshmallow roasting over the fire seems like the best way to end the day – this is the place to be. Soon after, when there are pooped kids filling the bunk beds upstairs and parents are winding down themselves, the memories of the day are shared and they become welcome, wonderful moments to recall many years into the future. You might realize the term ‘our home’ has a new, deeper meaning to you and for the people that visit here, as it has for us.
