Price is actually $3499 (Zillow restricts to 6K minimum). Fantastic vintage mobile home in the Lake Ridge 55+ community in Tavares, Florida. This home is directly across 441 from the Winn-Dixie shopping center, a five minute walk to the post office and a Dollar General. A Walgreens pharmacy is a block or so away, and Adventhealth hospital is about a mile or less up 441 with many specialists having offices across the road from the hospital. A Publix grocery is another 1/4 mile or so along. There's a Super Walmart is just under 3 miles east of the community and a natural grocers about a mile farther past that. I stayed in this mobile during Hurricane Milton in October 2024. I watched what the winds did and after it was over I repaired everything: the roof was new as of late 2024, including 3 layers of silicone coating. I finished the new carport in January 2025. The Carrier central air unit and gas furnace that provide central cooling and heating year round were overhauled in late 2024, and the furnace just serviced October 31 2025. The home has 3 refrigerators, an all electric kitchen with up-to-date appliances including an electric oven with working rotisserie, an air fryer, microwave, induction burner plate, and ceramic electric skillet. If you must have fire for cooking, there is an active (but capped and tested secure) gas line ready to be hooked up to a griddle, burner set, or entire gas range. The floors are solid throughout with no soft spots at all. The home is one of maybe a dozen of the exact same model still here from the 1960s. The interior is dated and shows wear but any issues are purely cosmetic: this mobile is solid construction. There are even original 60s light fixtures and shades. (They may be worth more than the mobile!) Most of the furniture conveys with the home, including the 8 1/2' x 11 1/2' vintage Karastan carpet in the living room and a full-size (54" wide) bed frame with slats (just add your mattress). All kitchen appliances, the 3 refrigerators, the washing machine and dryer in the utility room also convey. The community offers a marina for fishing and boating enthusiasts, a club house that includes a pool table and a well-appointed kitchen with two large ovens and a giant tv. Best of all are the neighbors: you can hide out and relish your privacy and nobody will come knocking, but you also have very kind and friendly people quite happy to help you in any way they can. The neighbors really make the place. As noted, this is a 55+ community, so the primary (owner) must be at least 55 and pass a background check. It's the usual rigamarole that park owners require. Cats are ok, small dogs under 25 pounds only. My pets are the squirrels, the lizards and the amazing black grasshoppers. The lot rent is 749.17 a month but will of course go up next year.
