This house sits on a very large corner lot one block from the Onaga, grade school. This is a fixer-upper with solid structure. It has been vacant for a number of years and needs some work. Mostly interior work. (Sheetrock, plumbing and electrical. There is a new electrical panel in the basement.) I've done some remodeling to the kitchen and put in a bathroom/laundry room, but these are not yet completed. The walls/ceilings and light fixtures are new in these two rooms, and the bathroom floor is new ceramic tile, however, the kitchen ceiling could be redone with something nicer. The exterior siding, trim, windows and doors are all new. The windows are new construction, with nailing flanges, not "new replacement". They are very efficient windows. The small amount of unfinished exterior siding is already purchased and is stored inside the house. The front porch is post and beam cedar with iron attachment hardware. The remainder of that hardware is also inside the house, as is the stain for the cedar. The entire front porch including all the structure is new and meets national building code. The house will need a new roof. I started putting new shingles on the new porch roof and there are four more bundles of CastleBrook Burnt Sienna architectural shingles inside the house. Menards carries these shingles. I started to build a deck on the back of the house and was going to incorporate the basement door into that deck, but that is unfinished as well. I live and work in another town 150 miles away and do not have the time to continue driving that distance to finish this house.
