    What's special

Updated craftsman, beautifully done, walk to beach and restaurants, some ocean-lagoon views, built with the finest materials and brands: Caesarstone premium quartz, marble, travertine, onyx, Oceanside Glasstile, slate, teak, maple, and alder; Viking Professional 6-burner stove with double oven, Sub Zero, Bosch, Hansgrohe, Kohler, Hubbarton Forge lighting fixtures (including 20-year warrantied coastal finish on outside fixtures installed in 2018), security system-smart wiring, water filtration system, and a spectacular indoor-outdoor family room with Viking BBQ-rotisserie as well as a large open patio off the main suite, neither included in the square footage calculations. Backyard waterfall with stone and custom ceramics by artist Betsy Schulz as well as a large flat area set up as an outdoor dining room, surrounded by plants. Exterior shingles are cement, not wood, outside of house is very low maintenance and fire-resistant. Neighborhood Description Terrific neighborhood, full of gorgeous, eclectic homes (some original little beach cottages, some modern architectural masterpieces) on quiet streets. The Via Grimaldi/Via Latina loop is informally known as San Diego's Architecture Hill and is well worth a walk just to check out the houses. Torrey Pines State Reserve's beach is a quick walk for surfers, swimmers, and hikers. Lots of restaurants on Carmel Valley Road, a longer walk into Del Mar village for the farmer's market, another dozen fabulous restaurants. Freeway access is perfect--easy but very little noise (unique in North County to have great access and no noise). Award-winning school districts, currently (2018) the middle school in Solana Beach has an inexpensive bus with a stop one mile away. The only downside to this neighborhood is that dogs are not allowed on the state park walks, beach or otherwise, but the neighborhood is full of dog owners and safe to walk any time of the day or night.
