This house has been refurbished and restored to an original MCM vibe. The seller would like to keep the stove but, is willing to let it go for the right offer. Much of the furniture is negotiable, if the buyer would like to have some of it. This house has been operated as a by-the-room mid-term rental for about 16 months. Each bedroom and the kitchen has its own fire extinguisher and smoke detector. There is an emergency first aid kit in the kitchen. While the original electric panel is older, it has been inspected by a licensed electrician and verified serviceable. A sub-panel has been added to the laundry room for the split units in the laundry and converted mother-in-law suite.

What the owner loves about this home
There are many things I love about this home. I love the quietness of the home despite it's being in town. Due to the construction method of this home, it shields out noise wonderfully. In 1955, when this home was built, they used drywall and a concrete plaster effectively making a thick sound resistant wall. Also, it is very well insulated and holds the cool or warm well. It is always cozy.
Another thing I love is the genuine Tennessee cabinets in the kitchen which were custom-built, on-site in 1955. The hardware is in great shape. We were able to polish it to a nice shine. We rebuilt the countertops with new substrate and a lovely retro Formica with aluminum edging. We even rebuilt the exhaust fan and polished the chrome to make it look and perform like new. The gem of the kitchen is a 1955 Westinghouse stove that has been rewired and rebuilt with new oven elements. We bought it from the original owner and it comes with the original paperwork that has recipes from 1955. While I'd like to keep the stove, I realize it fits the property perfectly.
We sometimes choose to walk to the bank, a restaurant or grocery store instead of driving because we are so close to everything.
Even though we have used this house as a mid-term rental (30 days to 4 months) for travelling nurses, we have stayed there ourselves for a couple months as well.
