We are a couple who recently converted the basement of our residence to an ADU. The space was meant to eventually house a family member, so we've decked it out with all the amenities! It includes a beautiful full kitchen with brand new appliances, a fireplace, a huge master bedroom with walk-in closet, in-unit laundry, and giant windows overlooking the wooded backyard. Our home is located in the coveted Peter's Gate Neighborhood, which is within walking distance of Downtown Monterey, while the wooded surroundings give off the spacious and calm aura of a remote sanctuary. Note that parking is tight. We can accommodate one car on the driveway but we do not have frontage on the street for parking. Viewings by appointment starting February 10th. Utilities (water, sewer, trash, electric, gas) will be covered. There is off-street parking for a single vehicle. The unit is not furnished. We would be looking to rent the space on a minimum 1-year lease, with a preference for continuing longer term.
