PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD: ATTENTION ROOFERS: Will barter for new roof. Currently tarped, but not leaking. Quaint, cute, one of the original old clapboard 1940s beach cottages on East end of beach within five minutes to essentially any place you would want or need. Good distance from street and location is 2 mins from the water if driving, about 5 mins on a bicycle. Within walking distance to many attractions, such as Zoo World, Wonderworks, Cobra, etc; many fast food and fine dining restaurants, and Walmart Super Center. Outstanding location for many servers and construction workers. House is one block off Hwy 98, but quiet and peaceful. Master bedroom very large with room for king size bed. Back bedroom has original, pre-war rustic hardwood floor, shiplap ceiling, and is perfect for an office/study. Both bedrooms have large closets, separate entrances to bathroom and plenty of windows for natural light. There is a charming farmhouse kitchen sink , plus built-in microwave and plenty of cabinets, including a built-in wall pantry. Heart pine wood walls and ceilings that have so much charm and provide great insulation for low electric bills. Some windows have been replaced with new ones; windows existing to house still let up and down for ventilation or box fans. Big front yard, no houses across street; carport with plenty of room to work on projects or barbeque, even if it s raining. Kitchen has flat-top stove and built-in microwave. Washer & dryer hook up in laundry room. Small back porch. Recently painted inside. As with any older home, this one needs someone young, strong, capable, and somewhat skilled to responsibly keep it clean and providing basic maintenance, such as mowing the yard. It's not the Hilton, but a sweet, older original beach home with great sentimental value to me. House is free of roaches, fleas and bedbugs, which is rare at the beach. Home does not have central heat/air, but energy efficient window units that save on bills anyway, particularly if only one bedroom is being used at nights. Safe and efficient oil heaters are provided and work fine considering our mild winters. You must have verifiable work and personal references; no history of eviction. Just be upfront and honest about credit and/or criminal background. There is a $40 application processing fee. Only respectful, responsible, self-sufficient, cooperative and honest person needs to apply. If you wish to be considered, please email me a personal introduction and information on your situation (work, etc). No utilities are furnished; tenant responsible for Gulf Power, City of PCB water, and Waste Management for trash pick-up. Please do not write and say, "We want to see the house without fulfilling the REQUIREMENT FOR CONSIDERATION: Must furnish details for consideration, so email me in a brief personal introduction about you needs, occupation, current situation, who you are and include answers to the following questions: 1. My tenants call me an A+ Landlord and I will only accept an A+ tenant. Think I put it all out there and represented it properly. Leave your ph number with introduction and I respond to those who properly respond to the ad. The move in cost is $1,600, first month rent, plus $800 Security Deposit. Payments are paid $800 every two weeks. Pets under 25 lbs may be negotiated and there would be a pet deposit and additional monthly fee if accepted. No utilities included. Prospects PLEASE fill out a renter's resume for consideration. Month-to-month or longer term considered.
