Built in 1898 this beautiful house is a fine example of true Victorian architecture, which we have worked to restore (not renovate). A quiet house on a quiet street, the Drawing Room apartment is the entire back half of the house on the second floor. A spacious living room, bedroom, and a second bedroom which may instead be used as an office/studio/dining/plant room. This room is off the kitchen and features windows on all three sides. If you're serious about cooking, you'll be happy to know that the kitchen has a gas range. The bathroom features the original antique clawfoot tub with handheld shower. The apartment boasts seventeen windows for maximum air and natural light. All the windows have screens, as well as thermal curtains and draperies for comfortable heat and cool retention. Closets in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom provide plenty of storage space. Parking is on-street, and usually readily available and close-in. We also offer bicycle storage, locked and out of sight, on the ground floor (so you don't have to lug your bike up or down the stairs!) We are centrally located in the heart of the city's Historic Uptown Neighborhood, and it's an easy walk or bike ride to art galleries, theaters, fine and casual dining, and shopping in the downtown heart of the city, as well as a short walk to a picnic or run in nearby Monument Valley Park. Very close-by is Colorado College campus, Fine Arts Center, Numismatic Museum, Robson Arena. Only a few minutes away is the Olympic Museum, Pioneers Museum, and the whimsical Uncle Wilbur Fountain. We rent on a month-to-month basis. This is a quiet, peaceful house. No unnecessary noise, disruptive or disrespectful behavior will be tolerated and would very likely result in non-renewal of the lease. No business of any kind (excluding online only) may be conducted from the house without prior permission of the owner. No smoking of any substance is permitted inside the house, although space for smoking is provided outdoors. Rent of $1250 is for one person, additional $150 per month per person (not to exceed two people total) Rent INCLUDES utilities, trash/recycle service, and basic WIFI.
