Built in 1850, this stately Greek Revival farmhouse blends timeless charm with solid craftsmanship. Set on over two acres with a tranquil stream and located just across from the Rec Park, the property offers both space and convenience. Inside are five spacious bedrooms, a center chimney with a marble fireplace, and beautifully preserved moldings and original wide-plank floors. Select furnishings may be available with purchase. While some interior finishes would benefit from refreshing, the home’s structure and period details remain in remarkable condition. With its generous layout, character, and park-side setting, this property is ideal for a young family or as a second home. Conveniently located near Titus Mountain and the Malone Golf Course—and just an hour from Montreal and the Adirondack High Peaks region—it offers the perfect balance of small town charm and easy access to world-class skiing, hiking, and recreation.
What the owner loves about this home
I grew up in this house, right across the street from the Rec Park. My parents bought it when it was still divided into three apartments and the yard was a field. It sits in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the Village of Malone. We spent hours playing in the stream, climbing the trees along the edge, and kicking a soccer ball through the backyard. The park across the street was our everyday getaway. The basement was our rec room, and many afternoons were spent doing homework in a chair on the balcony, watching the tennis courts fill with players. From our home in Malone, we were surrounded by everything the North Country has to offer—skiing, hiking, biking, camping, fishing, hunting, and snowshoeing. It was the kind of place that kept us active, curious, and connected to the outdoors year-round. This home holds a lifetime of memories, and it’s easy to imagine another family creating their own here.
