Neighborhood: The unique Oseetah Park subdivision is accessed via a private road of appx one mile through NYS lands. This arrangement allows for spectacular neighborhood mountain views over protected bog lands. Lots in the subdivision average one acre in size with protected no-cut wooded areas. We have protective covenants as well as a common boat launch, parking, swimming and picnic area; all with panoramic lake and mountain views. Oseetah Lake connects to Kiwassa, Upper & Lower Saranac Lakes as well as Weller Pond. There are over 80 campsites on the Saranac Lakes. The boating and fishing is unbelievable! The Adirondack Rail Trail can be accessed DIRECTLY from any lot without traversing public roads. Major emergency medical services are available 5.7 miles distant at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac lake. The site is located appx 5 miles from Main Street in Saranac Lake and 7 miles to the center of Lake Placid. Our cottage sits on a ridge with seasonal sliver mountain, bog and lake views. It is situated near the rear boundary with a long setback from the road and borders a large rural property to the north. What the owner loves about this home
LOCATION!!!! We are only selling the cottage to build another home on a contiguous lot. We are not leaving Oseetah Park, Life is too good here. Purchasing the Cottage means Lake access at appx half the price of a comparable home, DIRECT access (from our community private rd) to the 32 mile long Adirondack Rail Trail, a wilderness setting but easy access to both the Village of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Launching a boat from our Oseetah Lake community boat launch connects one to Kiwassa, Lower & Middle Saranac Lakes (a 20+ mile waterway). We can personally attest with-- dozens of photos-- the great fishing here! The Scarface Mt trail is also in close proximity. Short term rentals are allowed in this subdivision (full rental season is appx 120 nights) however, the beach/picnic area is private to resident use only.
