"Phoenix Rising"
A stone mason's cabin.
The new home that I built was inspired by the Hill Country limestone houses in Texas.
The exterior is clad with thick Texas Limestone. The interior walls and ceiling are sided with Doug Fir paneling that I purchased from an Amish mill in Antonito, Colorado.
This craftsmen built home has a cathedral ceiling and open flour plan making the house feel large and expansive. There are abundant windows in the main room filling the house with light and a beautiful view of the mountains.
There is a large "Phoenix Rising" mural in the main room.
There is a custom built limestone shower and a limestone wood stove surround. There is Colorado flagstone in the bathroom and under the wood stove. The Doug Fir counters in the kitchen and bathroom and the Red Cedar Front Door were built at Baird's woodshed in Eagle Nest.
Everything in the home was hand crafted which took extra time to construct.
I built the one bedroom one bath home for an individual or a couple that appreciates beauty and quality construction.
The home is 12 minutes to Angel Fire and 18 minutes Red River, making it an easy drive to skiing and off roading. Located in a beautiful valley just a few blocks from Eagle Nest Lake allows for year around access to hunting and fishing.
Built on a third of an acre, the house has an incredible view of the surrounding mountains, with easy access to Hwy 64.
The home is connected to Eagle Nest Village water, sewer and electric power.
With the thick limestone exterior siding and heavy insulation the home will stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. With a wood stove and electric heaters in every room the home will be comfortable year around.
The temperature in the mountains here rarely rises above the 70's in the summer making it the perfect escape from the summer heat in Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona and southern New Mexico.
The house is one of a kind. There is not another home like it in the mountains here.
The house is set up to easily add an extra bedroom or garage and a flagstone patio if desired.
The house is set up for a direct wifi connection with Kit Carson Electric if someone wants to work from home in a beautiful mountain valley.
The house is zoned commercial/residential if someone wanted to run a business on the property.
I will work with any broker that brings me an acceptable offer.
