Mcintosh was founded in the mid 1890's.   Many of the historic homes date from the 1890's Victorian Era.  This is a quiet town, between Gainesville and Ocala.  Interstate 75 is 4 miles away.  Orange Lake borders the town to the east.  Boat ramps are in the town.  Each fall there is an 1890’s festival.
