ABOUT THE HOUSE This little homes next residents will be the first since the home was remodeled. It boasts new kitchen cabinetry and countertops as well as a few new appliances. The home has been repainted and had the original wood floors refinished and stained. Brand new windows have been added which spruce the place up and ensure no cold winter drafts enter the home. In unit laundry has also been added, so no need to walk down into an old NE Minneapolis basement to a shared laundry room. We've also added a new in-unit dishwasher. Pictures show the unit. First the kitchen, then the bathroom, then the living room, then the largest bedroom, including its very large closet, then the second bedroom, which has a direct door to the bathroom, then the third bedroom, and lastly the entry way. I want to be upfront about the bedrooms. One of them is small, large enough to fit your queen bed, and a dresser, but not too much more. The other two are very spacious. All three of them have good-sized closets. There are three bedrooms and one of them offers an enormous walk in closet that could be used as an office space or den for someone who works from home. You also have access to a traditional furnace and central AC, keeping your heating and cooling efficient and eliminating the need to bring your own window AC units which are a pain. We do allow and encourage cats in the upper unit where you will be renting, however we do have a pet fee of $75 a month for the first pet or $100 for two, with a two pet limit. We are not allowing dogs at the moment. We love pets! It's just that they are hard on a home, so we request an additional fee to help with that. As for utilities, we cover water and trash. Gas and electric are split, so you pay for what you use, and we will pay for what we use. Living below you will be my wife Jenn, our two children Jaxen (2 years), and Evelyn (6 months), and me. We live a quiet life and are early to bed and early to rise. We spend our free time going to Beltrami Park with Jax and Ev, exercising, and reading. We would like to find people who wouldn't mind living next to our little family and like being around children. We prefer that those we share a house with have a similar lifestyle so we are not keeping each other up at night or waking each other up in the morning, and that we are respectful of each others needs and concerns. Of course guests are welcome at any time, but with children below you, parties really are not an option. ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD Our little neighborhood at 641 Fillmore is fantastic. It is a cozy, tucked-in neighborhood with dead end streets, so it is nice and quiet with little to no thru traffic. Your unit is just a half block from the big, beautiful 8-acre Beltrami Park, and just four blocks from the even larger Northeast Park! Beltrami has walking trails, a wading pool, and sport facilities including basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, an bocce ball. It also has open green space, and a playground. Outside of being right next to beautiful parks, you are also just blocks from - Three coffee shops - Spyhouse Coffee, Dogwood Coffee, and Five Watt Coffee. - Seven breweries - Bauhaus Brew Labs Brewery, Able Seedhouse + Brewery, Sociable Cider Works, Indeed Brewing Company, 612 Brew, Headflyer Brewing, and Minneapolis Cider Works. - Six Gyms - Anytime Fitness, and Snap Fitness, Titanium Performance, Sweat with Jess, North Strong Nordeast, and Los Campeones Northeast. - Six Yoga Studios - Corepower Yoga, NKB Yoga, Yoga Garden, Everyday Miracles, Yogafit Studios, and Dragon Lair Performing Arts. - One ice cream shop - MN Nice Cream. - Oh, and all sorts of little cultural eateries and grocery stores, a library, and everything else Central Ave has to offer. Be to downtown Minneapolis in a five minute drive, or walk to the Stone Arch Bridge, Dinky Town, Boom Island Park, or Nicollet Island, all of which are within 1.5 miles of home! Or walk to any of the seven breweries that are less than 1 mile away! As you can tell, we love NE Minneapolis, and think you will too! CONCLUSION We will not be providing showings to anyone who has not filled out the application. We do require renters insurance for all of our renters. It is extremely inexpensive (about $10 a month) but it makes sure both of us are protected if anything were to happen. We have had many people reach out. Please, if you have read this, include the word "elephant" in your message to us. We will prioritize anyone who includes "elephant" because it proves to us that you have taken the time to consider what is important to your neighbors in the other unit. If you would like to tell us a bit about yourselves, or why you think you would be a good fit, we would also greatly appreciate that. We want this to be a good fit for everybody! Please reach out with any questions! We hope to hear from you soon! - Owner pays water, sewer, and trash. Each unit pays their own gas and electric. - No smoking allowed on property. - Security deposit due at lease signing
