Modified A frame with three bedrooms, two baths and full unfinished basement with laundry, located on beautiful Templer Point. The second-floor loft bedroom and bath have a great lake view to wake up to. There are two bedrooms and a bath on the main floor with a family room, kitchen and access to the screen porch and deck. Mature hardwood surrounds this home on a 1.82-acre, nice sized lot. 103’ of pristine, south facing, sandy lake shore with hard bottom shore that comes with a nice roll-in 32’ dock. The cabin is located at the intersection of Agency Narrows and Walker Bay making for a short boat ride to the town of Walker and its nice, public dock space. The view from the cabin is world class, looking out over Walker Bay from a slightly elevated building lot. The hill is walkable with no steps or stairs. The cabin has open ceiling and large picture windows on two levels. The deck is large, 38’ x 12’ and spreads the entire length of the front of the cabin including the screen porch. The deck is a very popular place all summer. The screen room is 10’ x 10’, also a popular place to hang out and has that same great view of the lake as the cabin. A mini split system cools and reverses to heat the cabin in moderately cool temperatures. There is also a good quality wood-burning stove in the family room when needed. Water quality is good and flows strong from the deep well. Both well and septic passed inspection two years ago. The two-year-old flooring is vinyl plank for minimum upkeep and easy cleaning. The kitchen and laundry appliances are less than 3 years old. There is a harbor that is very well sheltered from the wind. There are 4 new floating dock spaces, one space comes with the cabin along with a shed space for beach needs. There are no HOA’s. Truly a wonderful opportunity to own on Leech Lake.
What the owner loves about this home
What I like about this cabin I love Leech Lake and the town of Walker MN, but what makes this place special is its location on the lake. Being on Templer Point is very special because it is a fishermen’s fantasy. Walker Bay is deep, much being over 100’ deep. Agency Narrows is much more shallow and the fish come up in shallower water to feed. There is great fishing outside the front door. Agency narrows is a very protected part of the lake. Advantages of small lake fishing, but on the big lake. Agency Bay also has a channel that runs directly into the big part of Leech Lake. This property has vacant lots on both sides. A large variety of birds come to at our feeders that include hummingbirds, Oriels, Grosbeaks, Pileated Woodpeckers, Red Wing Black Birds to name a few. This year we also get regular visits from wild turkeys and Racoons. Down below, in the lake area, Loons are a common sound and sight, along with a variety of ducks. The Bald Eagles like our tall pines and are often on look-out with a south wind blowing. A south facing, sandy beach is an ideal area for nesting turtles. Last year we had 7 nest hatches along the beach with many little turtles swimming. My son and I chase Muskies with several nice fish landed in the past few years. Large Mouth Bass, Walleye, Crappy, Small Mouth Bass, Sun Fish and Perch are also fun targets on beautiful Leech Lake.
