What the owner loves about this home
The Old North Branch Volunteer Firehouse has been my sweet home for 26 years and it has been an honor and a privilege to have known some of the original founders of the North Branch Vol. Firehouse. I must relocate for work, but being a good steward to this beautiful old building has been such a joy. The neighborhood of North Branch is a beautiful little hamlet and has many interesting attractions such as the North Branch Inn right across the street!! Chef Jake Eberle, who ones the Inn and restaurant makes amazing dishes and is the author of the book Le Fond Lessons from a Neighborhood Bistro,
It is an ideal place to put up your business clients or other visitors to North Branch. My firehouse is a commercial and residentially zoned property. I am an artist and curators visiting my studio stay there. There are other very sweet shops on the street or just around the corner like North Branch Cider Mill serving the local community with fresh apple cider, local provisions, gifts and home goods,
Catskill, Sullivan County is stunningly beautiful with an abundance of outdoor activities including hiking, canoeing river rafting, skiing, world class fly-fishing, golfing and more. A cluster of small charming country towns, like Callicoon, just nine minutes away, is known for known for a historic art deco movie theater, unique shops, cafes with a lively music scene, arts and picturesque views. Towns like Jeffersonville and Bethel offer a distinct country feel and Rosco is a close by prime location for fly fishing. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, just 13 miles from here is the original site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. It is an amphitheater, performing arts center and museum, with concerts and activities year round!
