Every year, Hanley Wood, a new construction marketing services company, chooses partners to create its BUILDER Concept Home to showcase innovations in the new construction housing industry that are designed to exceed what the average buyer expects. This year’s home was built by KB Homes in Henderson, Nevada, in a venture called KB Home ProjeKt: Where Tomorrow Lives.

Zillow participated in creating the digital listing for the 2019 concept home, which features the latest technology designed to help residents live with improved health and wellness while adapting to their changing needs. It was the perfect opportunity to practice what we preach about creating the ideal listing.

Home features

A small list of tech brands within the home includes Google Home, Nest, Tesla, Whirlpool, Carrier and Kohler.

The lucky residents of this concept home will enjoy a wellness platform that provides air and water purification, circadian lighting and noise-reducing features for rest. Solar panels, surge protection, and systems for energy storage and greywater recycling all contribute to the home’s energy independence. And smart technologies automate many of the health- and comfort-maintenance tasks.

Designed to be a “forever home,” the upper floor offers a private entrance and can become a caregiver’s residence or even a rental. Other flexible spaces can be configured to whatever function they need (bedroom, study, entertainment). The home’s design even includes quiet areas for focused relaxation and reflection.
