Zillow Provides Another Safe, Easy Payment Option for Flex Agents

In response to agents’ expressed desire for more payment options,  Zillow recently made it possible for agents to pay referral fees by sending them directly to Zillow from their bank accounts.

The ACH payment option — banking lingo for “automated clearing house” — allows for easy, secure payments directly from an agent’s bank account to Zillow’s, providing agents with greater flexibility to meet their business’ financial needs.

The addition of ACH now gives agents three ways to make payments: ACH, check and wire transfer. 

What is ACH?

ACH is a system for processing financial transactions. It involves a direct transfer of funds from one bank account to another. The payments are routed through a secure network that exists specifically for such transfers rather than going through networks used for credit cards such as Visa or Mastercard.

With ACH, partners can transfer funds from their own bank account to Zillow’s. 

What are the advantages of ACH?

A cost-free option, ACH solves a pain point for agents who prefer electronic payments but want to avoid the cost and risk of fraud associated with wire transfers. 

ACH also minimizes the time and risks associated with checks, and eliminates the need to send checks via snail mail for processing. 

How do I make an ACH payment?

You can now make an ACH payment using the information on the Order to Pay form, which now includes specific instructions for ACH payments. No need to set anything up on the Zillow website.  (Payment instructions for checks and wire payments remain the same.)

Will the change be permanent?

This new payment option is here to stay, but you can always choose whether to pay by ACH, wire, or check.
