There’s No I in Team—or in Real Estate: A Case Study in Business Restructuring
Written by|March 11, 2015

While Lisa and Goran Forss enjoyed moderate success in real estate for years, they needed to quickly find new strategies when the housing market plummeted in 2008 and then worsened over the next two years. Heavy on buyer leads, their agents started competing for the same properties.

The Forsses had joined Zillow a few years before, but didn't immediately purchase any advertising. After investigating online strategies to balance their buyer clients with more sellers, Lisa and Goran purchased an initial ad on Zillow and started receiving inquiries right away. A little more than a year later, they purchased their first Premier Agent® ZIP code and the leads poured in.

At the time, the Forsses manually assigned leads to their agents, but with so many coming in through Zillow, they couldn’t respond fast enough. Lisa and Goran were forced to restructure their team based on their overwhelmingly successful lead generation strategy. The result: a larger team and twice as much business.

Lisa and Goran Forss turned a thriving business into a business model, closing $125 million in 2014 sales. Read more of their inspiring story.
