Checked out Zillow Digs lately? Whether you use it on the desktop or a mobile device, there have been a lot of changes lately!

What is Digs? Other than being a veritable cornucopia of visual delight, Digs is fun, and for the real estate professional, it's yet another way to market, brand and separate yourself from the competition.

Those are all handy things right? Who doesn't need a little fun, branding and whipping up on the competition every now and then?

What can you do with Digs? Just about anything you could do with a photograph. Think Pinterest, if that's your thing. Think showcasing your listings. Or set up Digs boards for different neighborhoods and subdivisions.

Try handing an iPad with Digs pre-loaded on it to a client. Give them a 30 second lesson and tell them to go to town, 'digging' photos of homes they like. Sometimes people have a hard time visualizing the potential of an empty home, sometimes that can't really grasp just how big (or small) a 120 square foot bedroom is, and what it can hold. By looking through the tens of thousands of images on Digs, you client might be able to better visualize -- and communicate to you -- what it is they are looking for in a home.

Take a look at what the Corcoran Group in New York City has done with their Digs boards. You might as well watch what they are doing, 19,000+ other people are. Yes, Digs has a 'social component' that allows you to share, 'like' (by 'digging' images) and follow people and brands.

Shouldn't people be following you?

The uses of Digs for marketing properties, building a following, highlighting neighborhoods and more is truly limited only by your imagination. Real estate is a very visual business. Who doesn't like looking at great images of great living spaces? Digs allows you to collect, collate and display real estate images. Browse through the massive collection of stored images and/or add your own. Go ahead, dive into Digs and see what you can come up with to improve your business, spread the good word about your brand and services and have a little fun doing it!
