Customer support. It's a cornerstone of any business that provides a product or service to its paying customers. It's one of those things that you don't really think about — until you need it.

Every business would like to imagine that if they create the perfect product, they'll eliminate the need for customer support. The truth is, however, there's not a product out there that can't benefit from having world-class support — and that's exactly what we're after here at Zillow.

We've hired an experienced customer support expert, JR Gast, to lead our new Client Experience and Account Management Team. JR brings nearly 15 years of customer support experience to Zillow. Prior to joining the Zillow team, JR served as a senior director of global support for the online music service Rhapsody, where he helped two million customers across 35 countries.

Zillow has two types of 'customers' — the home buying and selling public, and real estate professionals. As Greg Schwartz, Zillow's chief revenue officer says, 'Real estate professionals have very different needs than the consumers who use Zillow, and they need a dedicated team of people who can quickly resolve any issues that may arise. Under JR’s experienced leadership, this team is streamlining the customer experience and taking customer support at Zillow to a new level.”

JR had this to say about his new position at Zillow:
