Property
The units themselves are really unique layouts! The fact that each of the units had a fireplace was also a great feature, as well. The porches are large and there's ample storage space in the unit. Getting back on to the main road from the complex can sometimes be a challenge for that area of Jefferson avenue during anytime of high commuters. But it is centrally located in Newport News, within an easy distance of anything that you'd be looking for in the city. The one thing that I found very surprising was the extensive pet policy. Literally an entire page of information, and I felt that the site for Chesapeake Bay and the ad for apartments.com did not lend itself at all to letting the tenant know that there were additional restrictions outside of breeds, of which there is also an extensive list with some breeds I've never seen on lists. (If you have a basset or bloodhound you're out of luck here.) You'll also have to go to your vet and get a certification of breed and a temperament form before move in if you do decide to rent here, so make sure you budget for that additional time and money needed to schedule your quadruped companions for whatever that entails. The property itself has a lot to offer a tenant outside of their living area. The pool is beautiful, and includes a fountain effect. The fitness room is one of the best that I've seen with all of the tours that we've had!
