Both upstairs rooms and the living room face the sunset and are perfect to catch the afternoon and evening light. The house is located in the historical village of Saugerties, and from the house, everything in town is walking distance. Olsen Co is a great daytime cafe with excellent design, run by a local family of sisters/aunts, and serves up the best coffee, sandwiches and salads (in my opinion best in all three towns), sourced with local farms and roatiseries. Josie's is two blocks away and also great, and both are dog friendly. For dinner, Miss Lucy's is an incredible restaurant that serves up city-worthy cuisine. Slices has the best pizza around. Inquiring Minds is one of two bookstores that you can get lost in, and their lattes are great). The Saugerties movie theater is absolutely adorable, with mainstream and select foreign films. The Saugerties Lighthouse and trail is 3 minutes driving, or one hour out and back walking, and is absolutely stunning. I recommend taking in the sunset here often and seeing the Hudson river, the geese returning, and the scenery change daily. There is a grocery store in the village or an Adams and Hannaford 15 min away in Kingston, along with all the big box stores. Saugerties is a charming town in the heart of the Hudson Valley. From here, Kingston, Woodstock and Catskill are all 20 minutes away, and Hudson and Rhinebeck are 30 minutes - 2 bedrooms, with closets - 2.5 bath - parking space included - large front porch and fenced in front yard - washer dryer - gas / forced air heat downstairs / electric radiators upstairs UTILITIES NOT INCLUDED Thank you for reading through.
