It has all the charm of an old home in Crescent Hill. It is located along quiet Galt Avenue, very close to all the local dining along Frankfort Avenue on one end, and a short drive to Grinstead Avenue and I-64. I primarily viewed the unit on the second and third floors, which is very spacious. There is a lot of natural light and all flooring (except the bathroom and maybe the kitchen?) is hardwood. It has some of the usual issues seen in older houses as well. Namely, the walls are plaster (which is prone to crumbling), and there is no central air. That being said, the walls were in great shape and the owner has accommodated with window units in almost all rooms. The heat also works very well -- I expect if your electric bill were high in the summer, it would be made up for during the winter because the owner pays gas. The kitchen is not very big, but could easily fit a small dining table and there is plenty of cabinet space. There is some kind of wall art on the walls in the room on the third floor I do not personally care for, but it definitely does not detract from the unit. If it were not out of my personal price range, I believe I would have been quite happy in this apartment. The owner is also very responsive and pleasant.
