This is a furnished basement unit of this house with an entrance in the back alley behind the house in the beautiful historic neighborhood of Bloomingdale. Everything is generally pretty new and recently renovated. Entire unit recently painted as well. Very comfortable to live in and quiet. There is access to the unit via remote controlled garage door and fence door for access. There is one off street parking spot that is dedicated for the basement unit. There are tenants in the upstairs portion of the house. Some amenities for the space: Verizon Fios high speed fiber internet Pull down projector that has Amazon fire stick for streaming from all platforms Washer/dryer shared with upstairs unit but located in a shared hallway in the basement that is separate from this unit's living space Queen sized bed with working desk and night table Portable infrared heater and cooling tower fan HEPA air filter Couch can fit 3-4 people on it and someone 6' could lie down on it comfortably. Projector screen pulls down in front of couch for large screen movie/tv show watching and video game playing. Has ADT security system to secure your unit during your stay. Floors are vinyl and tile. Counter tops are wood. Of note, the ceilings are closer to 7' so would not be super comfortable for a very tall person. I am 6' 1" and have no problem moving through the whole space so very tall would be more like someone who is closer to 6 1/2' or taller. Location Specifics: 8 min drive to MedStar Washington Hospital Center, National Rehab and Veterans Hospitals, Under 20 min drive to GW and Georgetown Hospitals Couple blocks from Bloomingdale's best: Big Bear Cafe, Red Hen, Boundary Stone and Jam Doung. Popular Sunday farmers market just around the corner. Couple blocks from Harry Thomas Recreation Center that has an outdoor pool/baseball/tennis/basketball courts. 15-min walk to Shaw Metro. 15-min walk to NoMa Metro. 20 min walk/5 min drive to Union Market Looking for folks who are interested in short term stay (couple months) as well as longer term lease (6 months or more). Utilities are not included in this price but can be negotiated. Would discuss what utilities coverage looks like during discussion if you like the space. No drug use or distribution on the premises. Visits by others are ok but no long term additional folks staying over, open to discussions as circumstances shift/life happens. Routine cleaning/maintenance and keeping the space nice is tenant responsibility. Minor appliances if damaged/broken are tenants responsibility.
