    Beautiful and modern two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in the heart of Brookland! With cofffee shops, Trader Joe's groceries, restaurants, breweries, tree-lined parks, and the Brookland metro all within a ten minute walk, this is a perfect place to call home. The place is being offered fully furnished. Gas and water are included in the price but electricity is the responsibility of the tenant. There are queen size beds, closets and dressers in both rooms and an office set up in one. The bed in the second room can be flipped up into the wall for more space as needed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, in unit washer/dryer and central air conditioning/ heat. There is a little outside patio overlooking the vegetable garden with table and chairs. This is a ground floor unit in a four unit building. Turkey Thicket Recreation center is around the corner with free tennis/ pickle ball courts, running track and a playground/ splash pad. DC residents can use the gym and pool for free! There are beautiful gardens at the nearby monastery and gorgeous cherry blossoms lining the nearby National Basilica that are some of the best spots to see the blossoms! The metropolitan bike trail runs just two blocks away which has a bike path all the way down to the capital and lots of local breweries to check out along the way. (City State Brewery, Lost Society, Red Bear and Right Proper Brewery). You can also take a scooter or city bike from right near the house. Come see all that Brookland has to offer! There is no smoking inside the building. All renters must show proof and maintain their own renters insurance policy for the duration of the lease. Street parking is available for Zone 5 residents with a parking permit. Owner will pay for water and gas but renter is responsible for electricity. Average cost of electricity is $50 with some months in winter reaching $80-100 depending on heat use. Tenants are responsible to maintain the cleanliness of the property and pay for the replacement/repair of any damaged furnishings with prior notice to the owner. A full list of items and conditions will be provided for review. There is no television or cable service provided. Lease terms preferably for 6-12 months but will consider 3months.
