The design of the school was recognized as a classic revival in design with six massive Corinthian columns supporting the portico. White also designed numerous churches and public buildings throughout Charleston. Not only will you come home to the elegance and grandeur of this unmistakable building, but you'll delight in the original 1840's details including 13 foot ceilings, original heart pine flooring, exposed beams and age-old brickwork. Enter through a charming courtyard in the rear and you'll discover an open and well-appointed living space, dining room that seats 6 guests, compact, well-stocked kitchen and private office for working remotely if need. Additionally, you'll find a washer/dryer tucked into the kitchen. You'll find a guest room appointed with a QUEEN bed, and flat screen TV with direct access to a full bath. The comfortable primary suite has a QUEEN bed, private ensuite bath, flat screen TV and a pair of French doors that open to the outdoor courtyard, where you can enjoy coffee and a book on quiet mornings. Just a short walk from Meeting Street and King Street, the heart of Charleston's shopping and dining district. With a dedicated off-street parking space, you can leave the car parked and walk to everything in and around Charleston.
