    What's special

Gorgeous new open kitchenCozy living spaceBeautiful wood floorsBright basement apartment
Brand new, bright basement apartment in a home in the very desirable Peter Pan neighborhood, just steps from Fred Lindstrom Park and Peter Pan Market. Park in your own space in the driveway, walk through the unit's own private door just in front of your car, and find the living room leading into the gorgeous, new open kitchen, all with beautiful wood floors. Plenty of space for a small dining area and a cozy living space. The ample light from the two living room windows and front door is supplemented by many can-lights throughout the unit, all with dimmers. The living room also has a brand new mini-split for those cold winter nights and hot summer days. Kitchen has a big microwave, double hot plate, and large toaster oven with many different capabilities including air-frying (no range in the unit). Walk down the hall and find your bedroom, with its own window and a good-sized closet. In between the two areas, you'll find the bright, cheery newly remodeled bathroom, complete with a shower/tub combo, tile floors, and a heater for keeping you cozy post-shower. And at the end of the hall, find your own utility room that includes the unit's own washer/dryer. Plenty of room for bicycle/sporting gear/extra storage, too. There is ample space out the front door for a private sitting area, as well. This unit is super cute and cozy - small but it has so much to offer! Since this is a basement unit, the ceilings are lower than one on a main level, so this isn't ideal for super tall people. Owner lives in the main house with 1 dog and 2 cats. Yard is fenced and sharable, as worked out with the owner. All utilities are included in the rent (gas, power, garbage, water, internet). Owner pays all utilities (garbage, water/sewer, gas, electricity, internet). No smoking on the property. Well-behaved pets allowed, only upon approval, with a $500 per pet refundable deposit. Proof of renter's insurance required. Unit comes with off-street parking in the driveway just in front of the unit's front door. One-year lease $1,250/month. 6-month lease, $1,350/month. Month-to-month lease, $1,500/month. Applications won't be processed until the applicant tours the unit (live or virtually).

Astoria’s 97103 blends riverfront charm and hillside Victorians with a misty maritime climate—cool summers, rainy winters, and big Columbia River views. Downtown and the Riverwalk are lively yet laid back, with the Liberty Theatre, galleries, and festivals like FisherPoets reflecting deep maritime and Scandinavian roots. Coffee stops such as Street 14 Cafe and Coffee Girl, the Astoria Co+op Grocery, Safeway, and Grocery Outlet anchor daily errands, while Fort George, Buoy Beer, Bowpicker, and Bridgewater Bistro shape a strong dining and local breweries scene. Outdoor time is easy at Shively and Tapiola parks, the Cathedral Tree Trail to the Astoria Column, and on the water for fishing, paddling, or storm watching. Fitness options include the Astoria Aquatic Center and local studios. Recent Zillow rental trends show a median rent in the mid-$1,700s, with most listings roughly $1,300–$2,400. The area feels family and pet friendly, offers walkable streets, and has quick access to Highway 30 and the Astoria‑Megler Bridge.
