After that point, the rental agreement will become a month-to-month lease or a new lease will be drafted and signed. Water service is shared between the two units in the duplex and is not separately metered. Therefore, the total monthly water bill will be divided between the two units based on the number of occupants aged 2 years and older residing in each unit. Each unit's share of the water bill will be calculated by dividing the number of qualifying occupants in that unit by the total number of qualifying occupants in both units. Tenants must notify the landlord in writing of any changes in occupancy (including the addition or removal of any resident aged 2 or older) within 7 days of the change.
