    Welcome to The Fox Den, a cozy nature retreat nestled on a 12-acre property just minutes from Richmond, Virginia. This 786-square-foot, 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom furnished accessory dwelling unit (guesthouse) offers a serene escape with modern amenities. It is perfect for a single person or a couple. Enjoy morning coffee from the large screened-in front porch overlooking the garden and valley. You can often see deer hanging out in the valley around sunrise and sunset. The living room includes an Albany Park faux leather sofa, two swivel chairs, and a live edge coffee table. The kitchen includes everything you need to cook and enjoy a full meal, which you can enjoy from the unique built-in booth area. There is also a desk nook with a beautiful wood desk from Crate & Barrel. The bedrooms are designed for restful sleep with blackout curtains, while the small but efficient shower boasts excellent water pressure. The bathroom is Jack-and-Jill style, between the two bedrooms. The primary bedroom includes a queen bed (Nectar), built-in dresser and closet. The bedside shelves each have a lamp with USB ports and outlets. There is a full length mirror as well as a large mirror on the built-in dresser. The flex room includes a day bed with a twin mattress (Helix Midnight Luxe) and a full length mirror. There is a small closet as well. This pet-friendly accommodation offers a mid-term stay of at least one month. Perfect for relocating individuals, traveling healthcare professionals, or remote workers, the fast WiFi and full kitchen ensure comfort and convenience. Enjoy the valley, trails and gardens. Please note that these outdoor spaces are shared with other guests as well as your hosts. Up to two adults and one child are welcome. Up to two well behaved human and animal-friendly pets are also allowed for an additional fee of $100 per pet per month. Non-aggressive dog breeds only. One complimentary cleaning + linen laundry is included every other month. Please note: There is a washer in dryer on site, but not in the unit. It is in another garage close by, and you are welcome to use it. Also, we have a second guesthouse, The Bohive, that is a short-term rental. You will likely see guests during your stay. They are allowed to bring up to 2 pets. **If you are looking for more space, there is an additional guesthouse on the property. It is a lovely 1,200 sq ft studio with king bed, kitchenette and living area with flat screen TV. Please inquire if you are interested in both guesthouses together! Great for a larger family or multiple professionals in town that would each like their own private space. - 30 night minimum - All utilities (including high-speed wifi) are included. - One well behaved, human and animal-friendly pet is allowed per reservation. There is a $100 pet fee per month per pet. - Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while outside. - Please pick up and discard your dog's poo. - The guesthouse is located on a private nature reserve. There are wild animals that live on and visit the property, including deer, foxes, turtles, snakes, birds, bees, etc. They keep their distance and we ask that you keep yours. Please do not feed the animals. - If you are not a fan of wildlife, or if you are highly allergic to bees, this might not be the place for you. By booking the guesthouse, you are agreeing to book at your own risk. The property owners/hosts are in no way liable for any harm that might occur. - No smoking whatsoever inside the guesthouse or on the guesthouse porch. Feel free to smoke by the fire pit or in the valley. If there is any evidence or smell of smoke in the guesthouse when you depart, there will be a $100 fee charged. - Up to 4 guests (including visitors) are allowed in the guesthouse at any time. Any additional guests must be approved by your Host. - While all electrical and mechanical equipment within the Property are in good working order, Owners cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of electrical service, stopped plumbing, water supply, heating, air conditioning, audio visual equipment, internet access, cable service, or appliances. Guest agrees to report any inoperative equipment or other maintenance problem to Owners immediately. Owners will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. Guest will allow Owners or a person permitted by Owners access to the Property for purposes of repair and inspection. - Owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur to any member of the Rental Party or Guest's visitors while in the Property or on the Property. - Owners are not responsible for loss of personal belongings or valuables belonging to any member of the Rental Party or any of Guest's visitors. Guest agrees to assume the risk of any harm arising from use of the Property.
