This is a gut remodeled one bedroom with small office on one of the nicest books in the West Village. I remodeled it for my son, who ended up moving to Boston. So it's been done to a level you'd expect for a pied-a-terre of a fashion designer who wants built in bookshelves, natual oak floors, and European tile. The walls were given a lacquered effect by using Fine Paints of Europe Hollondac 98, which costs $300 a gallon. There are custom shelves in the three closets hung with real brass rods. The radiator has a Smart Cover and a custom radiator cover. Every light switch is on a dimmer and all the light switches in the green rooms are gold. The bedroom has two closets and a small office painted in yellow Hollondac, with a window to look over the garden in back. The high speed router and Wi-Fi are located in the office, using brass fitments. The tenant will pay the monthly service for the 1GB internet. The kitchen has a two burner range and a microwave/convection oven built in. There is also a spout for filtered water, with filters under the sink. This indicates that the apartment was set up for an owner and reflects the thought and quality of the remodel. The bathroom has delightful yellow tile with a wavy texture, and new everything. There is the quietist vent fan I could find. The entrance has a gorgeous light fixture and a hallway closet to hang coats with a built in shelf for hats and scarfs. I also had a custom brass front door buzzer installed. The location is as good as it gets. Greenwich St and West 11th is one of the best blocks in the city. I will be having an open house Thursday at 5pm. Tenants must have credit scores above 700, no pets, good jobs, and exceptionally gracious manners. I'm looking for someone who will take very good care of the apartment, use pads on the feet and back of their furniture and treat it as their own. This is an exceptionally stylish apartment, done to an usually high standard, and the right person is going to be more than happy to pay a bit more than the typical painted over a thousand times, lumpy, bumpy New York rental.
