Our home is in the beautiful Florida Keys on Marathon Key. The neighborhood is Harbor Isle in Boot Key Harbor. It's a quaint, quiet, small neighborhood. It's off the main street, US 1, and there's very little traffic as Harbor Key is all residential. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood.
Our home is a recently renovated Florida Keys modular home on the exterior and has a cozy cottage feel inside. It is a one-story home but has 3 small separate levels, with just one step for each level. The 2 bedrooms are split across the house for nice privacy. There are many windows throughout the home, allowing lots of light.
The foyer area is an office space with a desk & chair, and 2 bar stools looking into the kitchen and back patio.
The living room has a large couch, 2 comfy chairs, an ottoman, a separate air conditioner, a DVD player, and a 55" Smart TV.
The kitchen contains a dining room table for 6, a separate air conditioner, a ceiling fan, gas stove/range, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, and is fully stocked with all gadgets, utensils, small appliances, cookware, etc.
The full bathroom has an enclosed glass shower, toilet, sink, mirror, and storage. The half bath has a toilet, sink, and mirror. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a closet with a dresser, 2 nightstands, a ceiling fan, an air conditioner, and a smart TV. The guest bedroom is the same except for a queen-size bed.
The laundry room contains a full-size washer and dryer, soap, iron & ironing board, and some cleaning supplies to start your stay.
All sheets, bath towels, and beach towels are included. There are two sets of all linens and terry.
The back patio off the kitchen has 4 steps down to the private patio and dock. There is an outdoor enclosed hot/cold shower right outside the sliding door. We have a patio table that seats 6, a tiki bar with 4 bar stools and a fan, exterior evening lights, a fish-cleaning table, a separate bait freezer, a gas BBQ grill, and a large secure exterior storage closet for any additional belongings.
Our home does not have ADA accessible features for the interior and exterior.
The dock is 65' and has direct access out to Boot Key Harbor, then direct access to the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico. If you wish to bring a boat to our home, please ask for permission in advance so we may assist you with size limitations, all the local laws, boat ramps, trailer parking, etc. We only allow one boat. The boat must be under your name for ownership or rental. The boat lift is not available for use due to insurance restrictions. The canal is 40 feet wide; however, there are other boats and lifts in the canal at all times. Please exercise the appropriate caution.
Baptist Health Fisherman's Community Hospital is located 0.5 miles from the house. You can walk, bike, or have a very short drive to the hospital.
Grocery/Convenience stores, Walgreens, CVS, shopping, and other services are also very close by.
The local area has a variety of restaurants and bars. It's a diverse area. Most are within a very close location to the house.
This is a month-to-month lease agreement. The minimum lease is 1 month, and the maximum lease is 12 months. The term of the lease can be modified to meet the renter's needs, i.e. 1 month, 3 months, 7 months, etc.
This is a seasonal rental program. Rent for January, February, and March increases to $8000.00 per month.
We are full-time Lower Keys residents and live on Big Pine Key.
Owner pays for gas, electricity, and water. However, if the electric exceeds $250 and the water exceeds $250, the renter shall be responsible for the difference. The difference will be due to the owner the following month.
A small pet may be allowed and must have the written approval of the owner. A pet (1) will have size and type restrictions. A $250.00 deposit is non-refundable. The tenant is responsible for all and any damages.
The vehicle(s) must be fully operational and in good order. No vehicle repairs are allowed at the premises. RVs and any type of trailer must have the written approval of the owner in advance.
