Designed and built in 1905, this building in the Historic Avenues District of downtown Salt Lake City was likely a single, large mansion originally--then divided up into (6) apartments sometime during the Great Depression (which was very common back then). If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, warm space, this unit--with its eastern and northern exposures, original oak and fir hardwood floors, tall ceilings and tall windows--might be just your spot. Size-wise it is perfect for one person--but a little tight for two. The (walk-in) closet is good sized for an apartment of this vintage and type--and there is also a ton of extra storage AND a laundry facility in the basement... so, anything that won't fit in the apartment can easily be stowed in the basement below. (Bikes, boards, blades, boxes, camping/climbing gear, a kayak, suitcases, roof-racks, extra furniture, seasonal items, etc.) This unit also has its own private back porch--which is really hard to find; perfect for some comfy chairs, outdoor plants, a hammock, or an outdoor dining area. . Pets possible case by case with commensurate deposit. (Prefer cats only if any, but will consider smaller to medium, quiet dog in this unit since it is ground floor: 30-ish lbs max.) Google Fiber is included in the monthly utilities--which are divided up between all the units each month. This is not student housing... so if you don't have a good job, good credit, a few years of good rental history... we cannot rent you an apartment. We don't do co-signers and thus we don't (typically) rent to (under-grad) college students. It's just not that kind of party. You don't have to be white collar to rent this place... but you do have to be mature, experienced, and financially stable. Reply with questions and/or to schedule a showing. In your reply, tell us a bit about yourself and what you are looking for... what you do for work... your typical (gross) monthly income... your IDEAL MOVE-IN DATE... specific information about any animals you have... other occupants... etc--to save time going back and forth. (We do not schedule showings without this basic pre-qualification info first.) We support and strive to comply with all Equal Credit and Fair Housing laws and initiatives. 12 month lease is standard. May consider shorter terms for higher rent. Tenants pay all utilities. Pets case by case.
