We're the next-to-the-last house on a dead-end private lane on a 5.5-acre, mostly-wooded, fenced-in lot where two creeks converge and run across the back of the property. Though not quite Walden Pond, it's certainly a wonderful place to unwind after a hard day's work--or to pen a literary masterpiece. We're 9.5 miles off I-95s Exit 143, within reasonable driving distances to Naval Health Clinic Quantico (18 miles), Stafford Hospital (12 miles), Mary Washington Hospital (18 miles, and several physical therapy, dental, imaging, and other clinics in the area. We have easy access to shopping, restaurants, parks, churches, fitness centers, Revolutionary and Civil War historic locations, hiking trails, and public libraries. Since presumably you like to travel, we're only 44 miles from Dulles International Airport and 47 miles from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. We're also only 49 miles from Washington DC's National Mall with the Lincoln Memorial, Smithsonian Museums, the Reflecting Pool, Washington Monument, U.S. Capitol, and other galleries and museums. Although you don't have to be an animal lover, it may help because in addition to Newk, our very mellow cat, we have an assortment of wild animals--birds, squirrels, deer, and the occasional raccoon and turkey--with whom we share the property. While on the topic of animals, you're welcome to bring your small, well-behaved, housebroken, indoor, cat or dog provided you make a refundable Pet Deposit. In addition to your private, external entrance to the apartment and paved designated parking space next to my not-always running 82 Corvette, you'll also have a shared external entrance to the laundry room. While you're welcome to bring your personal Ring/Nest doorbell with you, we ask that you leave your tobacco products at home since our apartment is for non-smokers only.
Upon Tenant's payment of $150 Security Deposit, Landlord will take property off the market. Upon Landlord and Tenant executing a Lease, the $150 Security Deposit will be used as a non-refundable Cleaning Fee to be used when Tenant vacates the property. If Tenant has a small, well-behaved, indoor, housebroken cat or dog, Tenant will be responsible for providing a refundable pet Deposit. Though not required, Tenant is encouraged to secure his or her own Renter's Insurance in that Landlord will not be responsible for any loss or damage to Tenant's personal belongings. Landlord will be responsible for all water, electricity, gas, sewage, lawn maintenance, and trash & recycling removal. Tenant will be responsible for sorting his or her trash & recycling into Landlord-provided trash & recycling receptacles.
