Welcome to the Walnut Orchard at Wintu Way in beautiful Winters, California. If you're looking for a turnkey walnut operation, this is it! You'll have 59 acres of Howards grafted onto VX211 Rootstock. These young, vigorous trees were planted in late 2018. The Ag Well, drilled that same year is 500 feet deep and 14 inches in diameter. In September of 2018 the static water level was 86 feet. At that time, after an 8 hour flow test, it consistently produced 1,000 gallons per minute, and only drew down 34 feet. The well has a propane-powered motor with a flow meter and variable output settings. A Solid Set Irrigation system was installed in late 2018 as well. The topography is rolling, and provides easy access and good equipment footing. The soil is typical for the area, designated as Corning Gravelly Loam.
