This house has a dated, but clean, look...and it has a great "feel" with an awesome layout. You will fall in love with the views and outdoor space! Please read: The price is very low because of one requirement (although this could be negotiable at a different rate) It's important to know that there is a basement that is separated from the rest of the house. A few times a year (for short periods of time) and rarely it would need to be occupied by the owner...we will not access any other part of the house or outside space...without your specific approval. Last year, we were there 4 times, three of those times were for 4 days. But that said, we can potentially work a deal to omit having anyone other thanyou sleep at the house. The other three are owned by the same family. OUTSIDE SPACE: 2 decks with views of the ocean and all three islands, the marina, the Mesa, and Santa Barbara downtown....adjacent to a grove of eucalyptus trees that are lighted at night. Also there is a deck in the back that is "shaded and cool" with great privacy. Great for BBQ's. Outdoor life is sublime. I'm sitting in the sun on the front terrace as I write this....heavenly. GENERAL: The house is clean and neat. Come and see!! This is a great house for sitting outside and enjoying the splendid SB weather. The views from the kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, and the top-floor suite are gorgeous. BEDROOMS: There are what I have called three individual one-bedroom "suites". I use this term because each is separated from the rest of the house with a door that opens into a small hallway and with its own full bathroom. Very unique and affording more privacy than a typical "three bedrooms down the hall" house. There is a sizable amount of closet space for each. Two are on the main floor and one is by itself on the top floor. The two on the main floor are on the backside of the house affording a hushed night's rest . Currently, one of these bedrooms is being used as an office but could be a bedroom. It's a great quiet place to work. The top floor suite with vaulted ceiling is about 550 sqft with gorgeous views, a private balcony, sitting area, vanity, and en suite bathroom, with lots of closet space. UTILITIES: There is a utility allowance of $350...which will go a long way to covering. Anything beyond the $350 will be billed separately with proof of verifiable expenses through utility invoices. There are washer and dryer hookups as well as a dishwasher, garbage disposal, and new appliances. FURNISHED: You can potentially rent it either way....or "partially furnished". It's currently ready to move in tomorrow. If you have a suitcase and a bag of groceries, you're good to go. Please know that it's totally turnkey and ready to go right now...complete with a washer & dryer, towels, bedding, a complete kitchen, patio furniture, etc, etc. PARKING: There is off-street parking on the long driveway. There is the possibility of a garage onsite, but that would be negotiated separately. PICTURES/PHOTOS: I tried to take good photos, but I'm not a pro. They don't do it justice. I tried to group them by location...bedroom suites, kitchen, outdoor spaces, etc, I hope that helped. AVAILABILITY: It is available potentially as early as March 15th or for sure by April 1st for monthly rental. No sub-letting. PETS and SMOKING: "QUIET" pets will be "considered" with an additional security deposit and/or additional rent. If you have a dog that tends to be a barker, please look elsewhere...seriously. No smoking inside of anything, ever. When would that ever be okay, anywhere?? Even if there is a place, it's definitely not here. LANDLORD: The landlord owns multiple properties in multiple states and is extremely responsive, agreeable, and affable. You will be well cared for and treated with respect. RENT, etc Rent is due on or before the first of each month, unless otherwise negotiated beforehand in writing. Although most of the utilities are included, extra payments for utility costs beyond the allowance are to be paid separately if needed. The utility bills will be available for viewing at anytime. Month to month I have no intention to raise the rent for the quite some time. In my opinion, it's better to keep a good tenant than to try to make a few extra dollars...and then lose a tenant. This is my policy with my other properties. It tends to keep everyone happy. I try to be agreeable. This is a month to month term.
