Pet Addendum:
- Alterra welcomes pets as long as they and their owners adhere to these rules.
- No more than two pets per unit are permitted.
- No exotic pets. Specifically, but not limited to: armadillos, pot-bellied pigs, snakes, ferrets, pitbull terriers and livestock of any kind are not permitted.
- ALL pets, whether living at or visiting Alterra, are to be registered with the Association Manager. Registration includes owner information, species, breed, name, color and approximate size.
- Owners are required to carry the pet or keep it on a leash of less than 6 feet in length while in common or limited common areas (except decks). Pets are only allowed in common areas while being walked to and from the unit to a public road. Common areas are not for exercising animals.
- Soiled pet litter and waste must be securely bagged in a plastic bag and taken directly to the dumpster. Pet litter or pet waste of any kind is not to be deposited in the garbage chutes. Pet waste is also NOT COMPOSTABLE.
- Pet owners must immediately clean up all messes caused by their pet.
- The City of Seattle's "pooper scooper" ordinance applies to all pet owners. The pet owner shall immediately remove all pet feces deposited in Common Areas, including parking or landscaped areas outdoors.
- Pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pet or by the pets of their tenant, guests, tenant's guest, etc.
- All pets will be subject to all Alterra Rules, including quiet hours.
- The Board may at any time require the removal of any animal, or cause such animal to be removed at the expense of the owner of the animal, including reasonable attorney' fees, when, in the Board's determination, the animal is disturbing other owners unreasonably. The Board may exercise this authority for specific animals even though other pets are permitted to remain.
