    Comfortable living on the South Side! 1005 S Webster Ave Unit A is the left side apartment, two stories, 1+ bedrooms. Photos here, video here. The is a walk-through bedroom, great for little ones or close family; you could count it as a bedroom if you have the right situation, or use it as a sitting room or office. Unit A is comfortable, clean, and cozy. With front and back porches and a large shared back yard it is close to central city and many amenities as well as a bus route that passes your front door. Great for a couple with a child. Requirements: References we can call. Credit Score over 620. First month and last month rent in advance, security deposit payable over three months. Rent: $1050/month plus utilities. Utilities: Electric, water/wastewater and gas are metered/billed separately. Gas is for the water heater and the boiler (steam radiators). Stove is glass-top electric. Paperwork: Application is on line. Later you'll need the lease, instructions and addendum. Description: This apartment is the left side of a newly remodeled three unit building in South Scranton. Entering from the street you go up to the raised front deck with your separate front door, opening to the multi-window, hardwood living room. Middle room is a dining room with a Tiffany-style lamp and a Harry Potter under-stair closet. Rear room is a kitchen with hookups for washer and dryer, plus doors to pantry (with kitchen sink) and to the rear porch and a large shared backyard, fire pit, picnic table. The second floor is up the stairs from the living room into the Plus room (a walk-through bedroom). The Plus room has four entries, the stairway, the bathroom, a closet, and the master or primary bedroom. The primary bedroom is a light-filled bedroom with three tall windows and lots of closets, on the front of the building, facing the street, the valley, the sunsets. Special elements of unique character in this apartment include: 1) Somehow the kitchen sink is in its own room (pantry?). Rare but not unique: it works. You can put dirty dishes there and wash them after the guests leave. 2) The bathtub is a square-ish 50" x 27" instead of the standard 60" x 30"; great for a kid's tub but not for adults to lie down inside it. As a plumber I've never seen such a thing! But when I stay here, I discover it's quite nice to take a shower in it! 3) I painted a not-very-artistic but feel-good, sky-and-clouds ceiling mural over the stairwell. In the morning coming downstairs with the golden light from the stair-light shining like a sun-rise behind me, I feel energized and inspired by the colors and light of this little space. 4) Church bells ring nearby every day. It's lovely. 5) We are half a block uphill from a year-round creek, Mountain Lake Run. So we do sometimes see woodchucks and other wildlife. 6) We are a block or two away from McNichols Plaza Elementary School, so this apartment would be great for parents of children who attend there. Parking includes practical street parking (right at your front door), and a less practical, but reserved, off-street, parking space two lots away. To encourage community the back yard has a picnic table space, and a fire pit for hanging out. We hope you will love living here. Landlord also bills through periodically for water/wastewater reimbursement, using percentage of total usage on the property as measured on your submeter. No smoking. Street parking is right at your doorstep while an off street parking spot is also available 100' away on the second lot over, if you want to use it.
