David Jones, the founder of the Cody Mercantile, brought Art Deco design to Cody in 1920. In 2011, a three and a half year COMPLETE renovation commenced. Renowned Phoenix based architectural firm and local luxury builder, TENNEN Studios and TC Custom, brought modern luxury and technology, yet embraced the Art Deco soul of David Jones’s 1019. Over 4000 square feet were added to the home, yet the front facade remained true to the original allure. The house is fully automated with state of the art AV, infrastructure, and security featuring Lutron, Tekmar, ICRealtime and Savant. It is completely heated by a hydronic floor system with an overlay humidified forced air and heat system dynamically allocated to each room. Every surface and fixture speak to the home. All walls are level 5, solid walnut flooring throughout and every door solid core. The cabinetry is a wow factor and it was all done by Cody’s own, Cedar Mountain Cabinets.
