I am looking for someone to take over my lease (or start a new lease) on a small house in N. Portland near the Alberta Arts District. I am moving out of state for a job, so unfortunately I am breaking my lease. My last day is February 28th, but I do have some flexibility if an earlier move-in date is needed. The house is small, with two bedrooms, a living room, and a dining area with a spacious entry-way (useful for cleaning dirty boots/paws!). There's an absolutely HUGE fenced backyard with a fire pit, trees for shade, TONS of gardening space, and a handmade chicken coop. Other specs include: kitchen with electric range and full refrigerator (no dishwasher), bathroom with shower, storage, and working washer/dryer, a spacious cellar for storage, and a carport with other off-street parking also available (shared w/ neighbors, but we've fit 3+ cars and one motorcycle on our side just fine). The house has carpet in the bedrooms/living room and linoleum flooring in the entryway, bathroom, and kitchen. The location is ideal for walking (near the Mississippi, Williams, and Alberta Arts Districts, and PCC Cascade), driving (very close to I-5), and public transit (bus stops across the street and a 0.25 mile walk away, and MAX stations a few blocks away on Interstate Ave.). Quick 10-15 minute drive to downtown Portland/PSU! The landlord, while responsive, is fairly hands-off. Additionally, she is quite amenable to pets, and has not increased the rent since I've lived here.
