Itwasclose to thegas lamp district and PetcoPark, which had many restaurants to choose from to have a taste of San Diego. The condo amenities were fantastic. The gym, the rooftop BBQs, and rooftop jacuzzi which hasamazing viewsof downtown San Diego. The condo tenants are very friendly and have socials every month to get to know your neighbors. The condo was equipped with everything I needed and it isbeautifully decorated. The balcony was one of my favorite places to be to enjoy coffee andthe fresh air. This condo is anawesome deal with everything it has to offer and the location to downtown San Diego. I cant wait to come back to San Diego to rent this condo again. Feb 2019- May 2019 I stayed in Brandon's studio at smart corner for my first travel nursing assignment May-Aug. When I arrived, Brandon was waiting out front to give me a tour of the entire building. The studio was cute and clean with everything I needed for my 3 month stay. The king bed was really comfortable and convenient because it folded up into the wall when I wasn't using it for added space. The kitchen had all of the essential cookware andutensils for grilling. The building was quiet and I rarely had any issues sleeping during the day since I worked night shift. On occasion I did hear construction noise.The balcony was nice, I didn't sit on it often, but when friends visited they loved it! I went to the gym located on the second floor a lot. They have multiple treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as free weights and floor mats. The gym was extremely convenient with my night shift work schedule and there were never more than four people. The hot tub on the roof was great for relaxing after I got off of work and also a nice place to meet other people in the building. There are also two grills that I used often. Everyone I met was extremely friendly. Each month they had meet-up nights for new residents to come and meet everyone in the building. I met three other travel nurses while I was staying here. I had my own secure parking spot in the parking garage below the building. There are a couple of convenient stores, a little breakfast caf, a Mexican restaurant, and a subway below the building. The area can be a little sketchy at night. There are a lot of homeless people that sleep right around the building, but no one ever bothered me I just chose not to walk alone at night. Otherwise, the area is a great location being a short walk to balboa park, the zoo, Petco Park, and Gas Lamp quarter.It's also a short drive to little Italy, 10 minute drive to the beaches, and basically in the middle of everything. I worked at Rady Children's and it took me about 12 minutes to get to work which was awesome.There is also a trolley that goes through the city that I chose to ride a couple of times. Apparently if your apartment is on the other side of the building it is super loud, but I couldn't hear it at all from this apartment which was so nice! I really enjoyed my stay at smart corner and would definitely stay again. Brandon was a great landlord, extremely helpful and quick to respond. I felt very safe and comfortable being by myself and it was just an added perk that I was able to bring my two sweet kitties along with me. -Stephanie May 2019-August 2019
