    What's special

No fee! When sending us a message please let us know when you're looking to move. This is available August 1st which we'd strongly prefer, but we may consider a later move in date. Cats or quiet dogs ok (i.e. no barking pls)! No smoking (of anything) in the building. Completely renovated apartment in historic limestone townhouse, with brand new stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher), granite countertops, tiled backsplash, and real hardwood floors. Split system A/C keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Huge windows let light pour in, and there's tons of closet space. There's no laundry onsite (though we are working on hooking some up in the basement, hopefully in the next 12 months) but there is a laundromat not even 1 block away. Community: This is a private 1 bedroom apartment in our 4 apartment brownstone. We (the owners) live in the building and are friends with all the other tenants we love the idea of this being more than just a place to live, but also a fun and neighborly little community! The location: The apartment is in a historic limestone on a residential, tree-lined block in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. It's kitty-corner to a beautiful park and a stone's throw from the Brooklyn Children's Museum. There are a few cafes within a couple blocks and some restaurants just around the corner. It's a 10 minute walk from the gazillion bars and restaurants on Nostrand Avenue and a 15 minute walk from hip Franklin Ave. The Brooklyn Museum, Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Public Library, and Prospect Park are a tad furtherI do the 20-minute walk to the museum and gardens all the time, but those are just 3 quick subway stops away on the 3 line if you're not much of a walker. There is a 3 train about 5 minutes away (which goes straight to Times Square) and an A/C train about 10 minutes away. Street parking is usually easy to find. There is no rental application fee, but before move in we do require a free credit report (from Mint/Credit Karma/etc) and proof of income.
