The Mahana resort is generally considered as one of the premium vacation rental complexes in upper West Maui, and when you view the complex and the unit, hopefully you will understand why. The Mahana consists of two 12 floor buildings with slightly over 200 units in the complex. Set in the heart of the northern part of Kaanapali Beach, the buildings sit well back from any roads, are surrounded by lush grounds and are direct oceanfront, with 180 degree views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai and, of course, sunsets all year long... and turtles and whales (in season). Unit 513 is a large (546 interior square feet and almost 100 square feet on the lanai), nicely modernized fully furnished studio, with central air conditioning and a washer/dryer in the unit. While the unit performs very well in the on-site vacation rental program, owners are free to live full time in the unit, consider it a second home or rent it to others on a long term or short term basis (using a rental management company of their choice).
