I am renting the 2nd unit in my duplex, in the Trestle Glen neighborhood of Oakland. I am the owner and have lived in the other unit for over a decade now. I spend half the week in Oakland and half the week working up north in Mendocino County. - The unit gets a lot of natural light from its big windows, though the tree in front provides good shade keeping the unit cool. - Kitchen had its appliances replaced last year with new units. - Street parking is unregulated and easy. There is one driveway spot for the unit. - There is dedicated garage storage for bikes, kayaks, scooter, motorcycle etc, and wall shelving to increase storage. - The unit has an efficient gas furnace for heating - Washer and dryer is shared with the other unit in the walk in basement. - Large backyard that is a shared space, with many fruit trees. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and walkable. Trader Joe's on Grand Ave is a 5 min bike ride away, and Farmer Joe's supermarket is a 5 min drive away. Walking steps lead up to the Park Blvd commercial district which is a less than 5 min walk. Easy access to JoaquinMiller park and the hiking trails on Skyline Blvd. Pets are ok.
